Master Class

In connection with The Birgit Nilsson Days 2020 a Master Class will be held on 2 – 6 August with court singer Anne Sofie von Otter in collaboration with opera singer Gitta-Maria Sjöberg and pianist Elisabeth Boström. The tuition will focus on lieder, romances and song cycles with a closing concert in Västra Karups Church on 6 August. Tickets for the closing concert only available through Julius Biljettservice. Application Master Class 2020

Welcome with your application for Master Class 2020. Application: Submit a short description of yourself your merits an song samples of lieder/romances/song cycles to bnsallskapet@birgitnilsson.com. The participants may have their own pianist. This i payed for by the participant. The application must reach us on 18 May at the latest. The decision regarding participation will be announced on 29 May. Target group: Professional singers and singers who have graduated from a music academy and/or an opera academy. The maximum number of participants in this course is 8 people. Course fee: 8 000 SEK. Breakfast and single room accommodation 1 – 7 August at the Pensionat Hjorten, Båstad plus lunch at the museum is included in the course fee. Selected participants have to make a part payment of 1 500 SEK on 10 June at the latest. Not refunded. The remaining fee has to be paid on 10 July at the latest. Language: Tuition in Swedish/English.
