The Birgit Calendar
The Swedish television channel SVT airs "The Birgit Calendar" on every Saturday evening from January to May. The Calendar consists of 24 short film clips of Birgit singing or being interviewed. The film clips are available online at SVT Play and can be viewed throughout the world.
Documentary: Vocal cords of steel
This new documentary, produced by Ditte Hammar and Ulf Sandlund, depicts La Nilsson's life and career, and her strives to be acknowledged as a singer and accepted by the world of opera. Friends, family, and colleagues are interviewed. Language: Swedish, English subtitles. Available online until July 3 at SVT Play, and is accessible throughout the world.
In the workshop of Birgit Nilsson
The Royal Library in Stockholm arranges a series of talks, Stories from KB, throughout the spring. On March 7, opera singer and friend of Birgit Nilsson, Elisabeth Meyer-Topsöe, gives the talk In the workshop of Birgit Nilsson. The talk starts at 5.30 p.m. in the auditorium at Humlegården, Stockholm. Free entrance. Meyer-Topsöe has written a book about Birgit and their relationship, called Birgit. From Västra Karup to Metropolitan, that will be published in 2018.
Opening at BiblioteksGalleriet
On Saturday, March 10 between 11 and 1 p.m. is the opening of an exhibition about Birgit Nilsson's 100th anniversary, Ludvig Nobel's 150th anniversary, and the 100th anniversary of Skånegården. BiblioteksGalleriet, Båstad. Read more

Stage performer and singer, Mattias Enn, makes his debut as an author with the book "Värp först och kackla sen!", depicting Birgit Nilsson's life and career. Exhibit at the Theatre Museum in Malmö
On April 28, the Theatre Museum (Teatermuseet) in Malmö opens an exhibition about Birgit Nilsson. On May 5, Marie-Louise Lagergren will give a talk about her personal memories of Birgit. The exhibit is open until June 17.

The Birgit Nilsson Prize Press Conference
On Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at a press conference at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, Sweden, the fourth recipient of the Birgit Nilsson Prize will be revealed. The Prize itself will be awarded in Stockholm at The Royal Opera House on October 11, 2018. Read more The Birgit Nilsson Prize is the largest prize in the history of classical music. The Prize is established by Birgit Nilsson herself.

Anniversary exhibition - Konserthuset in Stockholm
Exhibition – 100 years of Birgit Nilsson It is a portrait of the incredible career of Birgit Nilsson, primarily as a concert vocalist, but also her roles. In addition to many photos, the dress she wore to the 1968 Nobel Prize Award Ceremony will be on display, as well as a slide show and recordings from Konserthuset’s archive.
